Llew Mason has done some Warcraft Armory data mining to come up with a table of the most popular Paladin Talents. If you sort the table by percentage and take the top talents in the protection column, this is what it looks like: 0/49/12. Note that Improved Holy Shield is missing from his table for some reason. I just assumed it was left out in error and added it into the build instead of putting 2 points into Divine Intellect.
